We Handle Your
Insurance Claim
From Start to Finish
Storm damage is stressful. GOAT Restoration LLC guides you through every step — free inspections, adjuster meetings, supplements, and full restoration. You never pay more than your deductible.
Beware of storm chasers — out-of-state contractors who show up door-to-door, pressure you to sign, and disappear when problems arise. GOAT Restoration LLC is a locally-rooted Chicago company. We'll be here long after your roof is done.
The Insurance Claim Process
We walk with you through every step so you get the full coverage you're entitled to.

Document the Damage Immediately
Right after the storm, photograph and video everything — hailstone size next to a coin, damaged shingles, dented gutters, cracked siding, and interior leaks. Date-stamp everything. This is your claim's foundation.

Call GOAT Restoration LLC First
Before calling your insurance company, call us. We conduct a FREE professional inspection and provide a detailed damage report. This protects you from lowball adjuster estimates.
File Your Insurance Claim
Call your insurance company's claims line and report the damage. Provide the storm date, your documentation, and request an adjuster inspection — and request your contractor be present.
Meet the Adjuster — With Us There
When the insurance adjuster arrives, GOAT Restoration LLC will be there. We advocate on your behalf, point out all damage, and ensure nothing is missed or undervalued. Adjusters work for the insurer — we work for you.

Review Your Estimate & Approve Scope
Your insurer issues an ACV check first. We review it against our estimate and file a supplement if anything is missing or underpaid. You should never accept less than what your home needs.

Restoration Work Begins
Once approved, our certified crew gets to work. Roof replacement, siding, gutters — all exterior restoration handled with premium materials and professional care. Typically done in 1–2 days.
"GOAT Restoration handled everything with our insurance after the hailstorm. We got a full roof replacement and only paid our deductible. They were at every adjuster meeting and fought for us."

Insurance Claim FAQs
Will filing a claim raise my rates?
In most cases, weather-related claims (hail, wind) do NOT raise your rates because the damage is an 'Act of God' — not negligence. Check with your insurer, but this is rarely an issue.
What's the difference between ACV and RCV?
ACV (Actual Cash Value) pays your roof's depreciated value. RCV (Replacement Cost Value) pays for a full replacement. Most homeowner policies are RCV — we'll help you understand your coverage.
My adjuster said there's no damage. What now?
Don't accept that without a second opinion. Adjusters sometimes miss hail spatter. Call us — we'll inspect and, if warranted, file a re-inspection request or connect you with a public adjuster.
How long does the claim process take?
Typically 2–4 weeks from filing to check. Emergency tarping same day. Once approved, roofing begins within 1–2 weeks depending on materials.
Do I have to pay anything out of pocket?
Only your deductible. Any contractor offering to 'waive' your deductible is committing insurance fraud in Illinois — a felony. GOAT Restoration always operates transparently and legally.
What if my claim is denied?
A denial isn't always final. We can provide documentation, request a re-inspection, or refer you to a licensed public adjuster who specializes in overturning denials.
